I Don't Like Facebook

What I dislike about Facebook is that you can look at old posts and see who “liked” them, but who also over time de-friended you for being different in opinion, beliefs, or ways. And that, that hurts.

When you post a picture hoping that one person ‘likes’ it but they don’t and you get anxious. When you see those who you wish liked your posts liking somebody else’s the thoughts come flooding with, “Well hey, what’s wrong with me?” Why are all my old friends not giving a damn about what I post now? What could they have heard?

Then there are the old lovers with new girlfriends and the beauty standards we are tempted to wish we were like to be more “celebrated” than we are.

*Sigh*

We need to love ourselves and be firmly secure about who we are. Nobody else can do this for us but ourselves, no one will appreciate, notice, or value us as we can ourselves. I want to put Facebook behind, because it only brings pain because of the aforementioned reasons.

I hope you don’t feel alone, because you aren’t, in thought!

There's a few decent people. Although it's mostly full of shallow idiots who share every part of their lives. At least you have some anonymity here
