Why did they do away with experience project?

SW-User
So that people would ask this very question a hundred times
retrowaves · 31-35, F
very sorry
SW-User
Nothing to be sorry about
adshaw · 36-40, M
Certainly more interesting than other questions and events that are rehashed a billion times.
curiosi · 61-69, F
They allowed the troll to destroy the place
curiosi · 61-69, F
@IchBin2: Not you! NEVER!
IchBin2 · 22-25, M
@curiosi: Which troll?
hunkalove · 61-69, M
@IchBin2: First time I've laughed outloud today!

I heard there was a murder linked to this site, where two people met up and one of them killed the other. Other than that, the only thing I can think of was all the creeps, pervs, and pedos flooding the site.
retrowaves · 31-35, F
damn.. O__O

Money, and there was an EP murder. I don't know what eventually happened, but I think whomever owned EP got sued, big time.
retrowaves · 31-35, F
wow is the article about the murder online somewhere?
hunkalove · 61-69, M
@retrowaves: Yeah. I don't know how to find it. Google it.
Simplicity · 61-69, F
Experience Project failed because they allowed the site to become an online drug trafficking site. 5 deaths directly related to EP and that was from 1 dealer. One of hundreds. EP was getting inundated with search warrants and subpoenas related to their complicity in these murder cases, so they shut down
Badeboy24 · 22-25, M
Wrong answer because they ran out of money they couldn't afford to run the site anymore
Simplicity · 61-69, F
@Badeboy24: To many members, couldnt monitor everyone, got out of hand.wasn't their fault, had to shut down probably before they got charged. E.p.was a very unique site
SeductivePrincess · 31-35, F
Who killed who?
Nimbus · M
EPAllie threatened to tell the FBI of what was really going on if they didn't.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Tell what?
Nimbus · M
@Adogslife: You'll have to ask EPAllie.
because they weren't making the money they wanted from it.
Teirdalin · 31-35
How would that even be possibly the case considering the ads and amount of traffic?
@Teirdalin: The size of the team they hired to keep EP going. Programmers and management are expensive. They moved onto something more profitable.
adshaw · 36-40, M
If the murder theory is true, it is another place/service ruined because of a small number of people. Yahoo/MSN Chat were the same. Laziness on behalf of the company but overall, the litigious nature of America; and more to the point, the greed and dominance of 'lawyers', 'bankers' and merchants.
So it's not the fault of the creeps that use social interactions online as tools to take advantage of or harm others. It's only that someone thought it should stop, so they are the bastards?
IchBin2 · 22-25, M
Too expensive with not enough staff.
