@helenS Basic on-line security, plus neither the need nor wish to be cross-identifiable, though SW and Answermug are the only two general social sites I use.
I neither need nor wish to use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and their ilk.
I also use a few discussion sites dedicated to my hobbies; but here too, under differing user-names, and those sites do not ask for profiles.

@helenS LOL! Yes - and there are many far worse topics listed on SW that I keep myself separated from. I don't follow the really bad ones!
It's not whatever my groups list says that I am worried about so much as keeping that little bit safer from hackers and fraudsters playing jig-saw puzzles if you give them too much information.
