So I just realized that today marks the 9th anniversary of me joining EP and here the proof:
That was written by the 16 year old me, well 17 days before turning 17. (AYearWithoutRain was my first username as you can see). It feels really awkward reading this now. It's like I grew up in here, 9 years is such a really long time! 17 more days and I'll leave the 22-25 age group its crazy.
So I got a question for everyone seeing this, do you remember your very first story on EP? I actually remember my second aswell, it was basically a list of sad songs in the group "I torture myself with sad songs" 😂 I still have all the songs in a folder on my PC actually.
Interesting post! Yes. I do remember the first story I ever wrote, though I would have to dig into my EP archives to verify it. You arrived at EP not long after I did - I was in 2009.
The first posts I read were one user's posts about their battle with depression. I was in quite the place and was trying to figure things out, and those posts helped me do that. The person's username was Fugglywuggly or something like that... I think the posts were old when I found them and that was EP...
@Nanori Same here.. EP wasn't more special than SW, at least not in its final years with all the bugs etc... but it mattered to me for personal reasons too...
Oh i miss EP was such a huge loss when it closed however then came the birth of SW so its not all bad. I dont remember my first story or even my username from EP thats how bad my memory is!
@Friendship0nlyPlease Oh yea I was happy that at least the idea of EP migrated to SW along with a lot of friends and a lot of amazing people. And lol poor thing.
I can't wait for you to leave that group 🤬, because I feel you are a lot younger than me this way, so envious lol. I joined EP on 27th of August, so a little bit before you, and my first story was about being gay, I was asking for advice. I also feel so weird when I see the stories posted by the young me, 9 years isn't a short period of time.

My very first username was iamthepesut if I'm not mistaken.
My first post was about my roommate. She was so lazy and never did the house chore. She even forgot to feed the cats when I was away and never clean the cats poo.
I made EP account because I couldn't tell anyone about my problem. I lied a lot to my parents and hid something big from them. And no one really knew who exactly my roommate was.
@EugenieLaBorgia Thank you I'm glad you exist here too, you are one of those I know would take sides with me when things go wrong, you already did defend me on various occasions🌸. You are a good friend even if we didn't talk privately before. So when did you join this asylum?
