I Want to Improve the Experience Project

Here's a suggestion.
Every new account must be screened through an EP specialist before being allowed to post to the site. The EP specialist would look at the username, and would ask for a paragraph or so about what they would do to contribute to EP. Even if they fake their paragraph, it would be easy to pick up patterns in fake accounts, and they could easily be filtered out.

It would dramatically reduce the amount of spam... and given that you folks at the EP tech center quite obviously have never heard of using algorithms to autofilter spam through an autodetection of common spam patterns and spam usernames, this is the next best thing.

Individuals join EP for a variety of reasons and sometimes it's during times it's during a difficult period in their life when they could use support and a hear to listen.

We certainly don't want to prevent these members from getting the immediate support they need by forcing them to share a paragraph about what it is they will contribute. The truth is many don't know the impact EP will have on their life and the impact they will get to have on other lives until after they join and have an opportunity to engage with others.

Currently we are working on a variety of algorithms to auto-filter spam and adult material as well as work to bubble up the most interesting information that will be most enjoyable for each individual member browsing.

EPArsineh. Think for a moment. What do 95% of new EP accounts do anyways? They are almost all spam accounts. I spend close to 12 hours a day, daily on Q/A. Only one in a thousand questions that I have seen are people actually wanting help. So ok, fine. Let them post to experience groups if they want immediate help. But it's sad but true, EP is no longer what it is supposed to be. Some things must be sacrificed to save the whole.

We know why I don't want that , but good luck with getting EP to act rationally, the crazies have followers that swamp EP to have something done like bring back suspended psycho's or to attack other people getting them booted !
EP simply see's quantity alone and determines like that
