I Want To Know If People On EP Really Want To Be Friends
True Friendship And Health Are Two Of The Most Important Things In Life.... I am a 76 yr old. Up to now, I thank God for EP, and I mean everyone of those words. EP seems to be a place where I can share who I am, including what may be my one addiction !!
Loneliness can be a killer. I knew what it was like, at the age of around 60, to walk out of a party due to sheer loneliness. I am a Christian, and there is something called "the Success Gospel" that is a killer ! So-called christians take Bible verses like, from Proverbs,
"The righteous man is successful in all he does" and then use it to justify they own success, due their righteousness !! They also apply the converse !
Well, I have been severely hit for six (cricket !!) in business partly because, I "showed too much integrity" !! 95% of so-called christians have "walked by on the other side".
Fortunately for me, although I have been devastated, financially, compared with where I should have been, I have a strong faith in Jesus Christ and a gsoh. I also enjoy very good health. I think that is helped by a gsoh and a few good friends, though many have died.
I am severely pressed for time - aren't most of us ? - but if I can be a good friend to a few here, then I will be. I have to be anonymous for reasons that some of you will have worked out !!! It is to do with what some may call an addiction !
