I Want to Improve the Experience Project

*Follows The Money*... Something has happened.

I come from a family of financial wizards. Sadly I didn't get the gift but do understand the principals.

EP has made more changes in the past 4 months than they have in the previous 3 years I have been here. Hmmmmm......let's follow the dollar.

EP makes money from ad revenue. Cool! I love the site and am more than willing to suffer through the ads to have it. Advertisers are attracted by users and traffic.

Either........ A. EP is in a bind and making drastic efforts to turn the tide.....or..... B. Recent changes have garnered success and they are trying to repeat the efforts.

I think they will have yet more people leave, over the last 4 months I've seen my circle shrink like never before. Part of the problem I think is that changes are either making it more attractive to kids and pervs, making them more prominent on site or they are joining in larger numbers then the 'old type' of EPers making it seem like the changes are working but eventually the dinosaurs like me will go, all the changes and glitches, the charging via the back door by making everything cost tokens to do will drive us out. I'd hate to see the state of the place when that happens.

the other part is it's hell to navigate, keep up with friends, make new ones, write stories I have left countless comments about basic things like a line break in edit mode and the spell check that doesn't work with IE 9 (indicating it's been broken for 2 f*ing years)

it took an uproar to get EP staff to detangle mood and status where you didn't have to input both to post, write in your own mood was a user request finally granted now taken away, as were homemade gifts, tributes, cards

And thanks to poor communication and even poorer design materials people can't figure out what's a site change and what's a glitch (note my comment at the top of the page)

speaking of pervs sexo's not only is every 3rd thing someone posts about sex, dating for the purpose of having sex, vs. a lasting relationship, but members are constantly flagging nude avatars, stories about sex with relatives, sex with children, rape (and I don't mean the adult sex fantasy) although that can be triggering for abuse victims and EP either doesn't act or takes too long too entire groups violate the TOS and they won't remove it

And the ad blow seen on the site reflects the sex saturation of the site as well some of the only ads I could get to load for days where for hot cougars, horny sings and cheating MLIF looking for affair at horny wife.com they removed the fuckbuddies ad thank goodness- but come on

well I spent 5 days give or take telling them their ad blow was broken and not displaying properly (i.e. losing money) before they fixed it

and I told them for a sold 2 months "you need a plugin to view this video" wasn't displaying the content by advertisers they wanted to be seen before they for their head out of their behind and asked for different ones from whatever 3rd party pesters us with them

so I wouldn't be surprised

EP is free to use and we intend to keep it that way. Like you point out, ads help us keep it that way.
