I Want to Improve the Experience Project

Whatever Happened To The Mature Category Of Questions... Okay. Any time I wanted to answer everyday questions, I clicked on the Questions tab. When I was interested in answering mature questions, I then scrolled down to the Categories list and selected Mature. Mature is no longer on the list. So how do I find the "Mature" questions now? These constant changes, note that I did not say improvements, are really becoming overwhelmingly annoying.

First, please answer my question.

Second, I have a recommendation. Instead of rolling out changes continuously, how about you roll out quarterly or monthly "Updates" that include all of the changes. Additionally, before each update, publish a broadcast newletter or announcement telling everyone what is going to change, the impact of the change, and how the users should respond to the new version of EP.

I seriously doubt I am the only person extremely frustrated with constant change on EP, especially since so little of the change seems to be all the beneficial.

I had wondered this myself, thanks for the tip WantonLass. But I wonder something similar about groups... when I wish to post a new experience (i.e., create a new group), the mature category no longer seems to be a choice. I generally choose something like "lifestyles", and check the "inappropriate for under 18" box, but it was so much easier with a mature topic choice. I suspect EP is not comfortable with how those interested in mature topics have much such extensive use of EP, and perhaps they are trying to refocus attention on non-mature topics. If so, that would be quite the tragedy. If that is the case, I would hope they would at least split off and create a parallel site specifically for mature topics, and perhaps have tighter access control to THAT site, to keep minors out, and those not wishing to be exposed to such topics.

Thanks. I figured that out about 10 seconds after I posted the question. However, it was done with no explanation or warning. I emails EPArsineh and told her that EP is constantly rolling out changes and revisions with no warning or explanation, making life on EP a constant challenge and often not a lot of fun. I suggested that they adopt a model that is used by Software developers like Oracle and have regularly scheduled updates or roll-outs that are scheduled, planned, and announced in advance, along with information about how the changes will affect users and how they need to adapt.

I'd go with the notion for "Updates". Seems reasonable enough. Indeed it would be nice to know at first hand what's about to happen as far as changes are to be experienced. Having knowledge and everything would eliminate frustrations from few, and feedbacks can be expected in positive attitudes, regardless of the result of THOSE changes might be.

Click on Filter. Then click on Category, where you will find Mature Topics.
