how should you respond to the times when someone 'invalidates' you

there's times i've posted a comment on a video, or published a post on social media, me just stating what i believe to be true....then someone else comes back at me with a reply saying ' no that's not true blah de blah ' and trying to undermine my comment or discredit it? in other words ' invalidate' me.

and in those times, i have felt a bit annoyed, but also aware that that other person is entitled to their opinion? but not when they're trying to discredit my comment and make me out to be untruthful or make me look stupid....it is invalidation from somebody that.

how should you respond to that do you think? has it happened to you at times?

It happens often, but disagreement is not ‘invalidation’ in my view. When it becomes name-calling or ad hominem attacks, I just withdraw.

Not responding isn’t losing. It’s recognition that dirty fighters aren’t worth my time, and nothing constructive will come from that discussion.

@Mamapolo2016 i respected your view and again thought it was important to note and wise.
@durinsBane1983 I thought I’d get yelled at. 😀

Any enemy in any conflict uses tools at their disposal, including confusion and chaos. If the other side loses faith in their own decisions they may become, at least, unsure of what they believe. That’s why propaganda has always been so popular. “If you can’t dazzle them with your brilliance, baffle them with your BS.”

Fish that don’t rise to the bait live a lot longer.
