does anyone else ever feel 'restricted' online now

because it's not like old times online, like when i first got online in 2005, when i got my first computer, back then you could say what you want, now however, if there's someone you find annoying online or don't like what they say or post, you can't just ' have a go at them' or tell them what you think of them in a brutal way, how you would like- because you could get in a lot of trouble for it now, so i do feel restricted a lot in these times, because i can't say or post what i used to.

Are you talking about this website? Bc here it's not barely restricted, even when they're breaking policy.

I actually prefer some censorship, especially if underage people are involved, and they're also online. For their sake, and them not committing suicide due to bullying, we need censorship. Bc people don't care enough to be conscious, censorship is needed.

@greensnacks i'm talking about the internet in general, and * some* restriction, ie, regarding minors accessing the social media is a good thing.

but as regards freedom of speech, i think you should be able to post or say virtually what you want, so i don't agree there.

I wasn't online in 2005 but I often degrade and abuse other people here and I usually don't get in any trouble for it.

@BlueVeins the internet was great back then, more free and open, you could say what you want....and i dare not saying offensive to anyone now, because i don't want to take a chance and land in trouble, i know of too many news stories where someone was arrested for an online post.
