@JimboSaturn No, like every country we have our own quirks which have nothing at all to do with superior .
I'm sure every country have ways of speaking we would find frustrating but perfectly normal to those who live there

@Justmeraeagain But the difference is that I wouldn't put that I'm from ON, because I would be aware that it wouldn't be meangingful to non-Canadians.

@JimboSaturn it's not done consciously, it's just the way we speak here and so we speak that way .
And I've had plenty of people use phrases and different ways of saying things that I didn't understand from different cultures and countries

I really don't think any of us are it's just the way we speak.
I will use the term U. P. for the upper peninsula without thinking about it ,because I'm from Michigan and that's what we say.
If somebody asked me what it means I'm always glad to tell them and if I'm thinking more that day I may say upper peninsula.
