Be careful what you say online

I see this as a good thing for th UK.

People SHOULD take what they say online with more accountability.
Theres too much violence, cruelty, meaness and sheer horribleness spewing out on the Internet with little or no consequences.

Teens die every year from suicide from online bullying.....and then those bullies become adults amd continue their nastiness.

Ive perosnally been stalked and harrassed online untill it filtered into my real life.
- and the police had no protocols at the time to do anything. 🫤
Basically, untill that person assulted me in real life, they were free as a bird to torment me.🤷‍♀

GO UK ! 💪

I wonder what percentage of this are serious death threats or evidence of criminal activity, perhaps even indications that some form of terrorism could occur.

For example, around 10 years ago when there were those terrorist attacks around Europe, it later transpired that the police knew about the online conversations and the perpetrators were allegedly watched for months, yet nobody did anything to prevent it.

When the settlers of the original 13 colonies had left the UK, they were keenly aware of the dangers of unchecked govt power. That is how our constitution started.
Interesting facts

You can say what you want but depending on what you say. There could be consequences.

I wonder what the provenance of the numbers is and the context of each alleged arrest. It certainly makes a good headline.

Is this a commentary on the government or the people of the UK?
Maybe they take online bullying/threats more seriously
@Ghostinthemachine I guess the government
