"What's up with you/What are you upto?"

When I chat here every other person has this question inherently and as I am not a native English speaker,I don't know what to reply to this.So basically what exactly those phrases mean and what should I reply?or What is the reply they expect from me?

They mean :
"what have you been doing lately?"
"What's going in in your life?"

They are asking what is new in your life, or what is it that you do to keep busy.
@OogieBoogie Very thank you for explaining.
So I had to reply like,"Just getting up from bed","having a coffee and chatting here..." (or whatever I was doing) like these right?
@WomanThoughts they are very good replies.... you did well 👍

@WomanThoughts Those are generic questions. You can reply in general. Don’t have to be very specific, unless you like to share.
If you’re chatting with someone regularly, then you can answer those questions more specifically.
It’s up to you how much you like to share.
@WomanThoughts Keep in mind most men in here are after one thing, so any mention of bed, or getting up, or dressing, or showers or anything that has you even remotely naked will be taken the wrong way and the conversation will quickly spiral.
