why do some people think because you don't answer someones rudeness online, you're being walked all over

i choose not to answer idiots online on the whole, i just block or ignore them, they don't know me, i have nothing to prove to them and don't have to justify myself, why would some dullard think if you don't answer a troll your being walked all over?

The more you argue with the idiot the less people will be able to tell you apart. People think because they are online that they can say anything they want no matter how silly or offensive. Best to leave them alone or block .
