Compared to the safe beige and black most of us wear today, I say we could use a little more groovy in our closets.
Stop doing it then. There are plenty of colourful clothes in the shops. And that means people must be buying them. But most seem to shy to wear them unless there is a special occasion.
I wear colourful clothes most of the time and I get complimented on it. On recent comment was "You're looking rather fabulous!".
So relegate the beige and the safe black to funerals of people you disliked. Wear all that colourful stuff that is in the shops. Wear black too but with lacy cuffs and collars, take inspiration from your neighbourhood goth.
