Can SW be this stupid ?

Hello,

Thank you for your message, and for your interest in VIP.

That functionality that you described doesn't change between non-VIP or VIP. The behavior of Block is exactly the same.

The only thing that changes is that you, with VIP, can block a lot more users (5000 users) than you can without VIP (500 users).

Have a great day!

Regards,
-SW Team

Hi .. Just upgraded to VIP and wish to know if there is a Block Shield , as recently it has become a culture to just block good arguments / conversations. My problem is that they say something and then block depriving me of their final say in the matter.

It would be good if an ordinary member cannot block VIP member and only VIP can block VIP .. or the block must take effect only after a week. For instance I am unable to retrieve contents of this post which is quite important to me as it is my intellectual property.

Pls check if VIP can read the post even after being blocked without being able to participate further.

If possible kindly share the page for me just the original post and my interaction with author of post.

Ordinary Members can blind 500 eyes and VIPs can blind 5000 eyes

So SW is for blocking people. 🤣

So SW is for blocking people.

Why would this be a huge revelation and surprise to you? By all means, it's the admins of SW that gave us the ability to block people and they also give us a head up on acceptable behavior:

What is the acceptable behavior on SimilarWorlds?

✅ Be welcoming.

✅ Be kind and friendly. Assume good faith.

✅ Be clear and constructive when giving feedback, and be open when receiving it.

✅ Add positiveness to the conversation.

✅ Talk to others the same way you'd like others to talk to you.

✅ Know when to stop. If a situation makes it hard to act kindly, stop participating and move on.

❌ No name-calling or personal attacks.
If you don't have anything positive to say about someone, or to the subject, just don't say anything.

❌ No discrimination.
Do not say anything that is likely to offend or alienate people based on race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion.

❌ No harassment.
This includes bullying, intimidation, vulgar language, direct or indirect threats, sexually suggestive remarks, patterns of inappropriate social contact, and sustained disruptions of discussion.

❌ No offensive, hateful, revolting or disgusting contents.
Including images. You may like the images, but other people may not welcome them. Please think twice before posting contents of this nature, and please ensure they follow our Terms of Service.

❌ Be careful with sarcasm.
Tone is hard to decipher online. Others may take it wrong.

When others aren’t behaving well towards you, the best thing to do is simply ignore them and block & report them. It makes things easier for everyone.

There is no reason to try to win an argument. Ignoring them shows a great deal of maturity on your part. If you continue the argument, it will only make things worse, and you might end up being offensive and violating the Terms of Service, just like the other user has already done.
@SUPERVlXEN I have already pasted the link, that I cannot access. I am not against blocking here. Just access to my content.

Your sensational conclusion on your post is quote I brought in the top of my comment, except I didn't include the emoji you also made use of, and I won't go further into one detail, or another of what your aim is, it seems you included way more than just access to your content. However, my comment is to the quote from your post that I included in my comment. I made my point and will leave it at that from hereon. Take care.
