Yes... I can to this site because of its anonymity. I hate those messages from people who are not in my circle and I don't even know to ask my name and where I am from. I will never give you a direct answer. Take what I give and deal with it. Your begging is not going to help.

Perfectly reasonable. Ditto really. I prefer to ask in this fashion "If I can ask...". Which leaves the door wide open for "I'd rather not say...". Beyond that it's simply a matter of respecting someones wishes.

The anonymity I think helps us to bring out what we're feeling and thinking without being judged. I can't imagine telling people I know in real life what I wrote here, at least some of it.

I think a lot of people come here because of the anonymity. If people wish to interact with you, they should be content with whatever information you decide to share.

Some people just don't know how to take, "Go to hell!" for an answer. I usually find I have to give them detailed directions... :(
