What do I mean when I say “I am hopeful”?
Social media has become a tool for people to be good and to be bad. What do I mean? Some people actually find friends and even spouses through social media whereas others find their life’s work causing people to kill themselves through social media. Yes, these might be said to be the extremes.
I used to be on the Russian social media platforms until I started getting really aggressive commentary about being Ukrainian 🇺🇦 and I even got death threats and assorted insults and evil from Russians using the platform.
So I am hopeful to see people who have a little self control and humanity on this platform, but I have already started blocking people who just seem unsavoury characters that are potentially abusers of this magnitude.
