Why would someone block on one platform, but not on others?

Made a friend that lives local to me. I chatted lots with them. Then we met up. Mostly we chat on WhatsApp and Instagram and she seems cool.

After we met up she got recommended as a friend on TikTok. I sent her a message request along with my follow and said “hi it’s [my name] how are you??” Next time I logged on to TikTok I saw she blocked me on there… the confusing thing is she didn’t block on WhatsApp or instagram. She hasn’t opened my messages since we met up and chatted. She had AuDHD like me, so it didn’t bother me as I know communication can be a struggle to keep up with.

But I find the fact she blocked on TikTok, but didn’t block my WhatsApp or Instagram a strange thing… like does she hate me/ dislike me?
I sent a message apologising if I offended her somehow and now I’ve left it, she hasn’t opened the message. I feel confused and not sure if I should think a particular way.

I post slightly different things on each social media platform. Even have a different identity on some accounts and wouldn’t want anyone to find out. It might be because she doesn’t want you seeing her TikTok posts and doing embarrassing videos but she doesn’t mind you seeing a picture of her sitting outside a coffee shop drinking matcha 😂.
@BurningBright Yeah she was probably surprised you found her and freaked out.

@Gingerbreadspice I hadn’t thought of it like that - it might have looked obsessive?? I just had her recommended to me though, probably the fact her phone number is linked meant it recommended me? Maybe I should let her msg me in that case..? It might be a bit freaky if I contact her if that’s how it seemed 😢
@BurningBright I mean it’s unusual to not allow someone who follows you on social media to block on TikTok but that’s what I can assume. I blocked my sister in law on TikTok as she posts constantly on Facebook and Instagram about her business and her gym fitness videos. For me TikTok for me was a way to escape reality and watch funny videos and different creators and not have to watch my sister in law there too.

A 'friend' blocked me on Instagram a while ago but was active on my Facebook posts, I wondered why until I found out he'd been slagging me off to someone on his Instagram and obviously didn't want to appear two faced by having me as a follower on there.
Needless to say, we are no longer friends.

@RodneyTrotter1 hmm, in my case there is no mutual friend. Although it might be they met a guy and are now dating seriously, and that might have something to do with it. She burns through relationships fast though! Gets lovebombed and then heartbroken..,💔

Yeah that sounds confusing 😬just let her be and try not to overthink it
