I didn't grow up with that level of closeness.

Until very recently, my mother never actually told me she loved me. And I wasn't waiting for it either.

I think I learnt to manage and mask the confusion because my grandpa whom i met later in life was very loving person. And wouldn't let me avoid it. He was very expressive. Same for grandma. Very different than how I was raised.

You can laugh. But I sometimes can't tell if someone has bad intentions or is being friendly too. That is a problem with friends.

It means so much more now that you interact with me the way you do. And for what it's worth, a year ago, I wouldn't have interacted with anyone like I do with you now.
