is it true that people are 'quitting' social media

i just saw a video on youtube about this...of an american source, which i found a downer, because i use social media a lot to post my thoughts and for interaction...as i live alone and don't have a big support network, lost touch with my friends of long ago...so now i'm mainly on the internet which i still enjoy.
