Do you ever really speak your truth online ?

@OlderSometimesWiser I understand this. My mother used to say to me (and I heard her say it to Pop and my siblings when they were arguing about something):

"Is this really the hill you plan to die on ?"

@bijouxbroussard Yes, that’s an excellent way to describe picking your battles. Maybe it’s getting older, maybe it’s too many years spent on Q & A sites, but I just don’t see a whole lot of point in arguing with someone on the internet. It’s mentally exhausting and rarely changes minds.

@OlderSometimesWiser I’m getting to that point, too. The irony is, the posters I used to argue with were those with whom I wanted to interact—but wanted to come to an understanding. There are people where it’s been possible to agree to disagree. But some topics are just too serious.

@bijouxbroussard That's a good one. Sw doesn't have any hills I prefer to die on except the pedos and no one seems to really listen when I used to fight like hell over them. :(

@Idontbelonghere That’s a worthy "hill". I don’t know what happens legally when the site attempts to pursue suspected predators but they have gotten law enforcement involved.
