That's just like job application and they keep applying for jobs. The problem is that you are acting like an employer entertaining applications, and not looking for potential employers yourself.
It also means you have been around for many years without clarity of what you want.
They're on their job and in relentless pursuit of what they want. So they just keep applying to as many. But it is you who is handling all the junk mails.
