Yup. You weren't aware they went on vacation, that they renovated the kitchen, that they had a luxury dessert, oh they still lost weight, they got promoted etc until you met them in person or they called you.
No hate comments because there was no social media. If someone bad talked you, you'd just slap them. They talk behind your back, you'd ignore or hunt them down.
You felt you were enough, you had enough most of the time because there was nothing to compare to. You didn't look for validation. But now even without looking for it, you find yourself hoping for "likes" everytime you post a photo or say something online.
