Bumble BBF
Before I came here, I tried a few friend finding apps and tried Bumble BBF. It is designed after a dating app called Bumble but is only for friends.
I signed in, and only got guys. Not just guys, but nearly everyone one was a gay guy, and half were married.
I'm straight, but not anti-gay, I did live in San Francisco. I'm just rather perplexed at some of the ideas that pop up in gay culture..... like why it would be a good idea for gays in every city to over run a platonjc friend making app and turn it into a surprise gay ambush app.
I've looked over reddits and apparently this is the biggest complaint about it. It is a fetish for gay guys to lure straight men into dates thinking they are just meeting up to hang out.
Oh well. I was never very sociable. I kayak and hike on my own, you don't really need two guys to do that.
It would of been great though to have female options. I'm not really ready to date again but could use a platonic woman friend. But no, hard wired into the site.... only men, and only gay men.
Apparently its easier for the women to find real friends, but many are complaining now lesbians are targeting them. But it is nowhere near as bad.
