I belong to my college alumni group and my HS alumni group on FB
HS / nothing in common with them. live 1500 plus miles from them and would have not way to mentally connect to most of them. Some of them did really well in life and I am happy for them. I am at an age where a number of them have passed away. i think the saddest ones were the two that died in car accidents in their 20's the one that dies of liver failure at 45 and the one that committed sui cide at 20.
College: more in common with them because so many of have degrees from the same institution. Only knew a dozen of them while at college. Lot of dispartiy in college life experiences. Mine was really different than many of the others.
it is cool to hear them talk about classes and prof's / and then I remember I took that class or had that prof. I went to a really big uni with over 25k students but think only a handful our on the FB page.
