TexChik · F
Nope . You can only send data or pix, you can’t control the memory of a recipient’s device…but wouldn’t that be fun?

There is a new unsend feature on iPhone. If you unsend, it gets deleted on the other end. You then delete from your side.
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@Livingwell That's not what people usually mean by sending a text. A text, SMS standing for Short Message Service, is a network service independent of the device type. The feature you have in mind only works when both parties ares using and Apple app on an IPhone.
I'm not sure which @Jenny1234 meant.

@Livingwell @ninalanyon Yup. Unsend only works with iMessage, not with text (SMS or MMS).
But even with iMessage the unsent message still exists on the servers in between.

I think you can get it deleted (watsapp text) if you are deleting it immediately, provided the other person has not yet opened it. Otherwise no.
TheDisciplinarian · 61-69, M
It wont
However.. you can so arrange to be able to in future texts
By using a proper app..that offers that and other features

Once it's sent its out of your control. Unless you use something like Google messaging and there you can erase messages

@Jenny1234 I can't drink either, with the combination of a leaking heart valve and on a blood thinner to prevent future blood clots, a sip of the stuff gives me instant migraines.
