When you sign up with your email is it made public, so anyone can see it, and contact you? Never mind. It’s moot now.

Well usually I used to think there was always privacy options like Facebook had to hide your contact details. Check privacy section. Not sure what changes they mad on X since i deleted my profile many years ago.
