Is getting moderated on a website "fascism"?

"Government censorship" is when a private company chooses who they do business with.
@LeopoldBloom There is a valid discussion to be had about the real risk of governments being able to outsource censorship to the private sector though.

Heck even in the public sphere the 5, 9, 14 eyes program exist in part to get around pesky domestic spying and privacy laws.

There is no denying if the government really wanted to censor people especially with a fig leaf for legality would be to go to Zukerberg and Musk, not the FBI or NSA.

And if you want to spy on someone in the USA or an entire community but don't want your hands dirty just call up the Aussies or the Canadians, point them in the right direction and then after awhile they "share intelligence."

This is already happening.
