Do You Ever Look Back....

On conversations here (that is of course if you have access to old ones) in your PM'S and think, wow that was interesting conversation! I miss those chats! I was looking at one just now from 5 years ago and it was really good. I have no idea if he is still here or perhaps under another nickname. I don't even know why the conversation ended. Likely someone became more interesting than me. It was genuine conversation with a good back and forth flow. I don't know if those kind even happen here anymore, or if this place has taken on a more Instagram style communication. I think I'm to old school. I go way back to the early 2000's where the internet had opened the world up and there seemed to be so many more people willing to really engage with you. A couple of those people I'm still in contact with today.
That's it, my random thought for the day.

Thank you for sharing this experience, one I think so many of us find to be common. There is a dichotomy of feelings that emerges when looking back on the conversations of the past. It can truly tug at the heartstrings, especially if the connection was deep and the loss was abrupt.

I have certainly been there and while in the past I have reconnected with the artifacts of an online relationship I find that it can be quite difficult to bear if there was a connection that still lingers in the heart. It can seem almost a challenge to try to revisit the past in that way because it is both beautiful and fulfilling while at once crushingly painful. I tend to have quite a good memory for events in the past so the conversations do remain in some small way always in my thoughs.

And my heart.
