Why are some notifications still marked as unread?

Recently, I have noticed that some of the notifications in my list remain marked as unread (highlighted in yellow) even after I click on them. This seems to only happen, though, for content on (recent) posts I had made. For example, when somebody replies and I get notified of it.

The only way to mark them as read, that I can find, is for me to click the "Mark All as Read" checkbox.

Is this happening to anybody else?

Yes it's been happening to me for a couple of days now, but I figured it would be a waste of effort to mention it

and it's not every notification, just one here or there, it seems kind of random, for a while I started to think it was just notifications created by reactions rather than comments, but it might be both
