I feel like a lot of females here get irritated when you try

It's obvious that I'm not one of them. I've been on the other side of such women though, and never did anything to promote interest/shift focus from men in their thread(s). As soon as that began, it seemed like a game was in play and after a lot of juvenile behavior, there came the block

It's just human nature that bad apples exist in both sexes, just like outside these virtual walls. The most disheartening thing that's ever happened to me here was done by one of male species.

I see where you mentioned the selfie crowd. I find it annoying even though I participated a long time along ago. I think some are in search of validation they don't receive at home, so I try best to look at it from that perspective instead. I just wish they knew that beauty comes from within. One in particular who does it often is beautiful on the inside.

In psychology, we'd label that a scarce resource reaction. It's a fairly primal reflex in both genders but you described a really good example for the ladies. I feel you. I truly do. I would add that I think most women online like to "control the connection" to a high degree. Some will partially flirt with you and then pull back when you respond in kind. Then they'll re-engage the flirting just to keep you close, but not too close. Since I ain't looking for love I typically cut those ones loose. Either we are engaged in an adult friendship or we're merely friendly associates. I'm not fond of being in anyone's stable of "possibilities". 😂💯

That sounds weird. I've never blocked a female for interacting with me and I see a lot of females being friends.
Also I take attention from anyone, not just males. 😂

I noticed that too, and I am also selective. They seem nice at first but will turn on you with their sex talk and fishing for sympathy. God, what a nightmare

women are more often that way than men, but women are more grounded, though more dramatic too

I only block people that are pretty mean to me. I can be very tolerant but sometimes I just need to protect myself.
