Why are some people here so serious?

I am glad to have some really fun people in my friends list. But makes me wonder why are some people so serious and touchy?

Edit: It's a rhetorical question. 🙄

Being serious about more or less everything = being stressed mentally.

I consider myself a serious person, but also have my sense of humor and can be laughing a lot.
So.. I take certain things that others may not take seriously, and giggle about some others don't see any humor in it.
