Why are some people here so serious?

@Dainbramadge You read my mind with that answer. I completely agree with you on that. I really wish if some people take it easy and learn to laugh it out. I am sure the serious ones must also be constantly stressed in life.

@SW-User I will tell you from experience here as well as on Experience Project that people get evil when you joke with them.
I am Bi-Polar and have manic days. I tend to screw around a lot on those days and put my foot prints all over the site.
Well you would be surprised, or maybe not, at how many people read the crap I spew and immediately want to argue about it.
My God. Some one comments on my comment and I say" Well were communicating now, how long until you send me nudes?". Come on. It's funny.
Damn it ... laugh and move along.
I could blah, blah blah your ear off about this but I will leave it at this. :-)

@Dainbramadge Oh please go ahead and tell me your experience. I would love to know more. I was once misdiagnosed BPD🤭. I understand because that is exactly what happens to me. People just seem to get offended when nothing is even directed at them. It is like they are just finding reasons to put up an argument with someone. As if they have no other better thing to do. Why not just chill, relax and have a good laugh. Why is it so difficult for them to be happy? It feels like they are obsessed with sadness.

People here or in R/L are so damned defensive.
You know ... every job I have ever had I was the go to guy. I learned the most about the product or operation and everything it took to make the product or produce the results.
But sense I like to joke around I never got, or get, taken seriously.
Ok I like to say things like " You said do do " in the shop meeting. But he did say it. LOL.
But I have a shit load of experience in metal fabrication. But when I make suggestions they just blow me off because i am a clown.
People have a distorted view of what being mature is. I can say that from experience.

@Dainbramadge Professionally, when I am in a meeting with my team, I do joke but they understand from my tone when I mean business. So yeah, some team members did say that they don't realize when I am serious and when I am joking because sometimes I make a poker face while cracking jokes lol.

All in all, my superior takes me seriously because he can differentiate as well and so can I balance. And you are right when you say that people have a distorted view of what being mature is.
