Nope, the cowboys managed to blow it again. Some of our friends invited us over to their party ostensibly because they like us but then she let the cat out of the bag and asked me if I could find it in my heart to also bring some of my 7 layer dip. Any time I make that, I have to make a batch for the kids too. They are elated that we got invited to a Superbowl party. 🤣

@TexChik we're having 10 over will start my Hor D'oeurves in a little bit. ordered a deli platter and making sausage and peppers for half time. he's in charge of the bar

@saragoodtimes This one is Mexican themed. Jalapeño poppers, brisket tacos, mini chicken fajita chimi's, my dip, and Mac offered to make his queso. Plus frozen margaritas, and Corona beer.

@TexChik sounds delicious. I'm making Olives All'Asclana (fried stuffed olives) stuffed mushrooms, fresh mozzarella sticks, baked potato skins and hot wings to snack on before eating at half time

@cherokeepatti Between the food, the drink, the halftime show, and the TV commercials, football has become an almost irrelevant part of Super Bowl Sunday for many people! 😄

@cherokeepatti I caught my daughter shoveling it in with a spoon last night before I put it in the pans. I like to let it sit at least 24 hours in the fridge to let the green chile flavors go to work.

@DrWatson If the Cowboy's ever get to one, I will watch the game. I really just love the commercials and the 4th quarter if its not a blow out.

@DrWatson Yeah. I don’t even want to watch halftime. They have gone dark the past several years. The idea of tables laid out with a big spread of finger foods, now that catches my eye.

@cherokeepatti That half time show isnt for the football fans, its to attract more viewers who dont like football to the advertising . After the Janet Jackson stunt...I just dont watch that anymore.
