I spent most of the game thinking that England were pretty feeble in attack. They weren’t bad in defence, but even so Germany had many more opportunities in the first 70 minutes and things might have been very different if they had scored. Credit to England for taking their chances, both from good moves. And of course we had home advantage, a big crowd conveniently allowed at last. Perhaps we just about deserved to win overall, but a little less euphoria on the BBC would be welcome!

Germany started good, first 10 minutes were all German. After that they let the english come into the game. And after that they made 1 opportunity. Loads of long passes, no football after the ground.
