What are your thoughts on the England Euros squad?

It's like Southgate is deliberately trolling all those people who think that he just picks his favourites.

No Henderson, no Maguire or Grealish. He's gone for young players and players on form for their clubs.

I agree with all of those decisions. My one disagreement is that Luke Shaw is the only specialist left back and he has just recovered from injury. Trippier is not the answer at left back because he's 33 and right footed.

This is a pretty strong squad, though France and Germany are favourites.

He said his decision was based on current form; the end of a long season and potential injury carrying going into the tournament.

Which I suppose is either Southgate personally wanting the freshest legs available.
Or was under pressure from the big clubs/Premier league/FA/Players Union....not to select the players desperately required for the start of the new season until the players themselves had signed contracts agreeing to stay post tournament.

Either way, watch out for our likely second round exit.
