@Oneofthestormboys We weren't expecting anything from Liverpool and City and we've played pretty well despite losing so the mood in the camp is largely positive! Who knows, with Everton circling the drain and potential points deductions flying around survival could be a thing? I hope you lot manage it too!
@Oneofthestormboys Promotion to the premier league definitely has a strong whiff of "be careful what you wish for", I agree! But I'm backing us to stay up. If all else fails, we've got one hell of a team for next season's Championship!
@Lauren19 That’s true. Us provincial teams live on crumbs really, but that’s what footie is all about imo. Too easy to just follow whoever is constantly winning for the popularity.
@Oneofthestormboys Those type of glory hunting fans will never know the despair of a spell in League One. But also that that despair validates the good times.
@Lauren19 Yep I agree. The good times are incredibly sweet after having fought for our very existence. I just wish the prem wasn’t just about money, because that’s how it feels to me.
@Oneofthestormboys Yes, the money is crazy. Until this summer our record signing was 4.5 million for a goalkeeper in 2002. This summer we've spent 100 million. I can't get my head around it!
