Pele moved into end of life care.

I'm too young to have seen him play but he is widely regarded as one of the greatest (if not the greatest) players of all time. He won three World Cups in Brazil's golden era and redefined the position of the modern striker. I hope he pulls through. If not, may he rest in peace.

Shit. First I heard of that. What a life he's had. Best ever on most "all time" lists and a great ambassador. He was so influential for growing the sport in the U.S. People didn't know the sport but they knew Pele.

@Ynotisay He's also literally the most famous Brazilian ever.

@Burnley123 Yep. And I don't mean disrespectful but, if he does pass, he's passing during the World Cup. There's something poetic about that. And perfectly fitting.

@Ynotisay Well said.

Terrible shame but it comes to us all, im of a age were I remember him playing, brilliant player

I'm not quite sure how others here remember him playing , at least for Brazil. I'm one of the oldest here , and I was six at his last world cup.

I do remember all the old footage though , and I do know I fell in love with Brazilian football from '74 onwards , and a lot of that had to do with his legacy and the way he/they played the game.

Sad news.

End of life care means he's not pulling through.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@RedBaron I know. I was being polite.

@Burnley123 For whose benefit?
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@RedBaron I dunno man. I'm not looking to argue, it just seemed like the respectful thing to say.

One of my first memories of football is watching Pele on TV at the 1970 world cup. Always the best for me.
Oh
I heard he was ill, but i did not realise

I hope he does not suffer, i also am too young but i have seen footage he truly was the GOAT
