Argentina beat Mexico 2-0

@Northwest It was good because of the tension. If Argentina hadn't won, they would have been almost out. Mexico's tactics were ultra-defensive. Maybe too defensive for their own good because they were committed and tackled well but, when you play like that, it is very tiring. Sometimes it's better to leave some counter-attacking threat and have some spells of possession so your players get a rest. Also, if you do go behind, it's very difficult to then go on the offensive because it's such a huge tactical and attitude switch. Mexico looks weaker than four years ago and I think they will fail to make the last sixteen, their usual level.

I agree on the great goals. Messi delivers yet again, as does a young rising star.

I didn't watch France Denmark because I was out at the AGM of my political group.
