Nottingham Forest Vs Liverpool Today

Going with my fella, Matt, today to the match. He's a big Forest fan, so being the dutiful fiancé I've gone with him from time to time.

We went together a couple of months ago and, obviously, Forest's season (so far) has been pretty dire. 22 new players, 140+ million pounds spent, only been playing a couple of months together de da de da de da.....

Still, we're not looking forward to the final result. It's going to be about how many goals are [i]leaked[/i], sweetie...

The atmos? It's such a huge, loud place and, traditionally, Forest against Liverpool have been major events in the football calendar.

We're both praying for a draw....or at least a good performance.

After all, I have to live with Matt..

@MrAverage1965 Oh, it was fantastic play. They let them come, like, 10-20 yards into the Forest half and then hit them on the counter.

Really good group mentality, good speed, good vision, great goalkeeping too....and had so so many chances to create a 2nd goal.....and an open net and we hit the post in the last few seconds!

The Matt-ster is a very happy chappy!

@MrAverage1965 Matt keeps saying that he can see what they've been trying to do all this season so far (I've seen them play twice...think they drew that first time...and this win) but haven't been able to put it all together.

...and today they did.

I had to sit through the Brighton game with him this last Tuesday. God, that was D-I-R-E, but hopefully they've turned that corner....
