The England Football Team

Great start to the tournament - defeated by a team many places below us in the world ranking and a very lucky draw with Germany. As usual, the England football team are over hyped, with a plethora of vastly overpaid mediocre players.

Maybe, if club teams nursed young English talent rather than buying foreign players, we could return to something like a decent team, but I doubt it. Big money has spoiled English football. The game of the people has become a hobby for the ultra rich.

You nailed your own question. Way too many foreign players should have a limit of no more than 5 overseas players per team on the football field at any time. Until they take action on this England will always be massively overrated

@nedkelly I agree with that. The club teams rely on buying in ready-made foreign talent rather than in training and producing home-grown youngsters. The team names are a joke now. How many players from Manchester City come from Manchester? Or Chelsea players from London, let alone Chelsea?
