Premiership Fixtures cancelled.
Covid cases are increasing in the UK and football seems more affected than most. A large number of players have not been vaccinated. As far as I know, this is not happening in other countries.

It is affecting US sports at the moment, including the National Hockey League, National Football League, National Basketball Association, and college basketball. It will get much worse very soon. A little over a week ago, 99.9% of US cases were the delta variant. A week from now, omicron is expected to be the dominant strain, just in time for Christmas celebrations. That will create a terrible situation for January 2022 with so many deliberately unvaccinated.
