England Argentina

So.Argentina will play Spain in the World Cup final.I watched yesterday’s game and here are my thoughts. This is not me gloating as a Scotsman, because let’s face it England went much further than Scotland, who only managed to score one solitary goal against Haiti in the group stage. We deserved to be knocked out.
Yes ,Englands manager made a mistake in going defensive, which allowed Argentina to push them back and eventually get their goals, but I wonder if there’s more to this.Is part of Englands problem to do with the pressure from media on past events.Do they live under the shadow of 1966? This was 60 years ago! Also like yesterday, every time they play Argentina, the ‘Hand of God’ by Maradona goal way back in 1986 is replayed.Do any other National teams media do this.Every generation of England players seem to get this.Is it time to forget the past?
Anyway.Lets hope Sundays final is memorable for the right reasons.

Yeah England's stuck in the past, I mean look at even their structures.
The biggest problem I think, is England's media always think England are favourites.
That brings its own pressure.
Tuchel's mistakes weren't just in the semi final. He took players that weren't fit and left more creative, fitter players behind and he failed to make full use of the squad he took. Failing to rest players who looked like they struggled with the heat and the number of games.
That said, I'm Welsh and we didn't even qualify.
So well done Scotland. 👏
