Egyptian Team Sent To Spokane

Egypt and New Zealand played in Vancouver on Sunday. Egypt won.

The teams must choose a "home" facility. Egypt picked Spokane (Washington).

Egypt's next game is in Seattle on Friday, against Iran.

Spokane is like a 5 minutes flight from Vancouver, and Seattle is also like 5 minutes from Vancouver, but if the Egypt team were to head to the game on Thursday, it will probably be by bus, and that's 5 hours down I-90 from Seattle.

It would have made more sense to have Egypt go straight to Seattle.

But something that's being referred to as "Seattle Security" is preventing this from happening.

BTW, I would love to meet this Seattle Security thing.

Not like Spokane is not a nice spot. The facilities are great and it's much quieter than Seattle.

The plan "used to be" for an LGBTQ group to demonstrate the Iran team, but who knows what's going to happen.

Another reason to avoid the stadium area Friday, however Egypt's fans are planning a 15,000 person welcome party.

Turned out to be mostly a logistics issue. The Qatar vs Bosnia and Herzegovina game is today at noon in Seattle, so everything was booked.

So, both Iran and Egypt teams they can arrive today, instead of 24 hour before the game.
