What do you think of soccer/sports fans in general that get into physical altercations with the opposing team's fanbase?

Overly emotional idiots, but I understand why it happens.

It’s a religion in some countries. Opposing team fans have a separate entrance to the stadium with police protecting them. They may also have that section “caged” for their safety.

They must have lackluster lives, so they fill the void with it.
Almost a modern day "bread and circuses".

Somewhere between nothing and not a lot.
