Interessting fact for all American Football or Simpsons fans...

Hank Scorpio bought the Broncos for Homer in “You only move twice,” which first aired on November 3, 1996. Homer was famously upset because he dreamed he would one day own the Dallas Cowboys. Since that day, the Broncos are a perfect 7-0 vs Homer’s once beloved Cowboys.

Homer’s Broncos are also three times super bowl champions under Homer’s leadership, while Cowboys haven’t made it to the big game since the year before the episode aired.

I looked it up; the last time the Cowboys played in the Super bowl was Jan 1996, so their drought has lasted 25 years so far. With 32 NFL teams and two appearing each Superbowl, that means long term random odds have each team appearing about once every 16 years.

Football draft rules say bottom teams get earlier picks in each year's draft. Team salary caps limit how much they can pay so that it doesn't end up richest takes all like European soccer.

So long term random odds should apply here. Why is the Cowboys' drought so long? Could the fault lie with management? LOL!!!

That's some fascinating Simpsons factoids! How did you discover all that? Perhaps you're a longtime fan of TV's most famous yellow fam like me? 😉 Ironically, last night I watched the newest episode (part 1 of 2) after it aired on FOX. Are you able to watch the newest episodes as well in Pinkland? 😛
