Very stupid

At my age, I should have grown out of such behaviour. I have regressed recently, I think. Only last week I decided to skinny dip on the beach at Deal, in the night. Good fun but the tide came in fast and soaked my clothes so I had to walk home dripping wet.

Went skinny-dipping late one evening on a beach I know well from day-time visits, Fully dark, I went beyond the reach of the street-lamps, and I was glad I had thought ahead to bring a white carrier-bag for my clothes and towel, so I could just see it against the shingle!
