Do you need to eat before smoking a cigarette? I can’t smoke on an empty stomach it’s too much

I havent smoked a real cig in years. i dont recall much, maybe a little more lightheadedness when i didnt eat first.
i vape now and for some reason, i love a vape after a meal.

I don’t smoke.. i just drink coffee 😳
