Day #3 will be the hardest. Cravings will come in waves. One wave will last for about 3 minutes. You just have to survive the next wave. Those waves will occur less frequently over time, and after a couple of months they will have almost disappeared.

@helenS I was smoking like a chimney in my dreams, waking up feeling guilty and ashamed
helenS · 36-40, F
@MyNameIsHurl ... and relieved, because it was only a dream?
MyNameIsHurl · 41-45, F
@helenS yeah

@MyNameIsHurl Happened to me too. It was nightmarish – in my dreams I smoked again, and I thought "Oh no I failed, I failed!" while dreaming 😕

@helenS yep me too, I eokr up relieved but craving a smoke

@MyNameIsHurl When I woke up after such a wish fulfilment dream, my first thought was "Hah! It was only a dream! I'm still a non-smoker! Yeahh 🥳"

@helenS The best adduction to have is intense exercise (for normal healthy people)
helenS · 36-40, F
@Queendragonfly Yes I jogged around our lake when I felt that a craving wave approached.

@helenS Same I just wanted to intense exercise 2-3 times a week
And it comes to me by itself. My body "Mmnhhh we need to move that ass"

@Queendragonfly Exactly – there was a strong "Get that ass moved" feeling!

@helenS I'm also aware how much so sit on my ass so when that voice speaks, I act instantly. 😂
